Ecco Underwear PDF Sewing Pattern Bundle

The Ecco is a super comfortable, high waist, full cut underwear sewing pattern. This bundle includes both the decorative edge version finished with elastic trim, and the bound edge version finished with fabric binding.

The rise of this design is a true high rise, designed to sit several inches above the belly button, and the fit is full cut but just a little cheeky in the back. I designed these to be my daily go-to, and over the years of making them for clients as a handmade lingerie maker I’ve had the opportunity to refine the fit and customize them for a wide variety of body types.

In addition to standard sizing from XS to 5X, I’ve included instructions on tailoring your pattern to your specific waist to hip proportions, altering your rise, and adjusting the gusset width for a pattern that is both size and gender-inclusive.

Includes print-at-home, large format A0, and projector pdf sewing pattern files as well as detailed, hand illustrated instructions and a full video tutorial for an approachable, beginner-friendly project.

  • This pattern includes sizes 0-34 (XS-5X)
    Fits hip measurements 32 ½ - 70” (82.5 - 178 cm) and waist measurements 22 ½ - 60” (57 - 152.5 cm)

  • This pattern is designed for four way stretch knit fabrics. An ideal material for this pattern will stretch 50-100% horizontally and 40-80% vertically. Most jersey knits with some lycra content will fall into this category, and are an ideal choice for this pattern.

    You will need ½ - 1 yard of fabric (+ 3-4 yards decorative/picot/lingerie elastic for the elastic finish version)

    Specialty Tools:

    • Sewing machine with zigzag capabilities (serger not necessary, though handy!)

    • Ball point or stretch sewing needle

  • For confident beginners. Includes introductory information on working with knits and stretch materials, step by step illustrated instructions, and a detailed sewalong video to guide you. If you’ve never worked with knits and/or elastic before but are up for a challenge this can be a great first knitwear project.
