Whether it’s the food I’m eating or the bowl I’m eating from, I love the richness and texture of a life populated by handmade things: things that connect me to other people and to the world, things with stories, things made with love and respect and deep passion and maybe just a little bit of neurotic obsession.

That’s why I make clothing.

I’m enchanted by fiber, fabric, silhouettes and seams, and by the way that what we wear can tilt and shift our experience of the world and ourselves in weird little instances of daily alchemy.

Most of all I’m stoked to connect with other people to build a word where “stuff” can be a source of community, delight, and deep satisfaction. I teach sewing, design sewing patterns, and have a line of handmade lingerie.
